Prep at Greenhills

At Greenhills, we aim to create a happy and safe environment where your child will be encouraged and supported to become an active learner and curious about the world around them.

We welcome the opportunity to tell you more about our school, show you around and provide you with all the information you need to help you make the right choice for your child and your family.

School Tours - Call 9435 4181

We welcome the opportunity to show you what Greenhills has to offer you and your child, and we extend an invitation to all parents considering a quality educational environment for their children to contact the school to arrange a personalised school tour.

During these tours, you will have the opportunity to visit our classrooms to get a feel
for our school and see our school in action. You will also meet our school principal,
James Penson, and will be able to ask any questions you may have about our school.

School tours are usually held each Tuesday at 9:30am (In Terms 1,2 & 3) or by appointment. We also have evening sessions in March and April.  If you wish to book a school tour, please call the school on 9435 4181.

Eligibility and Enrolment

Greenhills has an enrolment cut-off of approximately 500 students. While enrolment numbers vary from year to year, demand for enrolments at Greenhills has consistently exceeded capacity.

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.  If you are not in our zone we'll do our best to accommodate your family.

The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School zones.

Please complete an enrolment form and return it to the school office by Friday 26 July 2024. We will notify parents and carers of the outcome of enrolment applications between Monday 29 July and Friday 9 August 2024.

If you live outside the Greenhills school zone, we welcome you to apply to Greenhills. you will be placed on a waiting list. We do anticipate that some Prep places will be available to families who reside outside the Greenhills school zone in 2025.

Alongside the school enrolment form, you will need to provide an immunisation certificate as well as official evidence of your child's name and date of birth (e.g. birth certificate, passport).

All Prep enrolments will be notified by email of the outcome by Friday 9th August about whether they will be offered a placement for the following year.
